Here is another of my favorite places.

Many of you may be old friends with the Home Fabrics on the corner of Bristol and Warner in Santa Ana. Formerly known as “The $2 Fabric Mart”, then I think it was called just “The Fabric Mart”. But, as the years have passed, the amount of fabric has declined and the number of rugs has grown. You can still find a bargain, it’s just harder.

Santa Ana, CA 92704

Well, thanks to Cathy McGregor I found it’s “big brother”. Off the 605 freeway, South Street exit. You know, like the Cerritos Auto Mall, 605 at South Street. Anyway, after you exit, make a right and then a left at the second signal. The store is about a block down on the right.

Home Fabrics & Rugs
18600 Gridley Rd
Artesia, CA 90701

There is a back room off to the left, after you enter the store, that is filled with $2 and $3 per yard fabric. I am talking name brand quality stuff. We brought 8 coordinating Waverly prints and made book bags for our YW for Girls Camp. The bags were a huge hit and the cost was very little, Most of their inventory is drapery and upholstery quality, but they also have a section of quilt type calico prints.
They carry a lot of discounted trims, pillow forms, batting and pre-made drapes.
CHECK IT OUT! Save some for me.
